Summary: Christianity is not all about being "smart enough" to be a Christian, and knowing all the deep theological truths. There are practical things we need to do, but being a Christian isn't only about figuring out all the practical things to do. A look at some basic principles that make Christianity "simple". 1. Sinful human nature. We all have. Innocent until age of accountability. 2. Man's part - needs to choose whether to serve Christ or not. Must repent and place faith and trust in God. God's part - extend grace, has provided salvation. 3. Core of Christianity. Matt. 22:34-40 - Love the Lord with our all. 4. Sanctification - becoming more like Christ, not necessarily simple! We need to take personal responsibility; learn to make different choices. This affects all areas of our lives.
