Summary: True wisdom is found in understanding, or comprehending the will of the Lord. The most important place for a Christian to be is where God wants him to be. The most important thing for a Christian to do is what God wants him to do. So what is God's will? 1. God's will is that all men be saved, and have eternal life. (1 Tim. 2:3-4) 2. God's will is for us to thank Him for all He does for us; no matter our life's circumstances. (1 Thess. 5:18) 3. God's will is for open communication with His children through His Spirit. (Romans 8:26-27) 4. God's will is for us to live sanctified lives, holy before Him, and free of sexual immorality. (1 Thess. 4:3) 5. God's will is for us to serve our fellowman from the heart as if we're serving Him. (Eph. 6:5-8) 6. God's will is that we persevere in doing right, even under hardship. (Heb. 10:32-36) 7. God's will is for us to live a life of example that would draw other people to Him. (1 Peter 2:11-16) 8. God's will is for us to be transformed, so that He can teach us. (Romans 12:1-2) If our hearts are right with God, and we apply His principles to our decisions, He can use even our mistakes for His glory.
