Summary: The Christian life is like unto an airplane. How can we make the flight successful from the cross to glory? There are four principles involved with keeping an airplane in the air - thrust, lift, weight, and drag. 1. Our thrust is the incredible energy and power we receive from the new birth. 2. Our lift is the fuel we get from filling ourselves with the Holy Spirit. 3. Our weight cannot be in harmony with the lift in our lives. To continue ascent, we need to reduce and remove the sin in our lives to keep the lift. 4. Our drag is the pressures and responsibilities in life. We have to deal with these things but we have to be careful that this drag doesn't drag us down in our heavenly ascent. Are we following our flight plan? Are we in a steady climb?
