Matthew 10:34-39, 16:24-27, John 12:23-26 and Luke 18:29-30 A look at what the Cross has become today, and what it needs to be in your life. 1. The cross is an instrument of death. It requires us to deny fleshly desires. 2. The cross denies the legitimate. There may be hobbies, activities, or other things we need to give up. 3. The cross is personal. God may ask me to give something up that He doesn't ask others to give up.
